GST zero rated from June 1
(The Star) KUALA LUMPUR: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be set at zero percent beginning June 1, 2018, says the Finance Ministry.
This decision does not include goods and services listed in the Goods and Services Tax (Exempt Supply) Order 2014, which remain exempted from GST.
"As such, all registered traders must follow the decision of the zero rate now. At the same time, registered businesses are still subjected to all current regulations," said the Ministry.
